The EziTite® bearing setter is a high-pressure, specialised hydraulic installation tool designed to mount heavy industrial bearings onto shafts with completely repeatable accuracy. What is a Bearing Setter? An industrial hydraulic bearing setter is a specialized precision installation tool that uses controlled hydraulic pressure to drive a bearing onto a shaft seating. Unlike basic retail race drivers, this heavy-duty tool is engineered to apply an exact, highly repeatable preload force directly to the bearing inner ring, eliminating the risk of internal component distortion during the mounting phase. How the Bearing Setter Works Position the Tool: Slide the tool over the shaft thread and butt it firmly against the face of the bearing inner ring assembly (Fig. 1a & 1b.) Apply Hydraulic Pressure & Monitor the Travel: Hook up your high-pressure pump lines and gradually inject fluid into the tool’s pressure chamber.
